Payment Security
All orders with Winterson are processed using Mollie, a leading payment gateway that encrypts your payment card details in a secure environment. Mollie's systems are scanned quarterly by an independent assessor and audited annually to ensure compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard. We do not store your payment card details in our information servers.

3D Secure
In addition to encrypting your information with the latest SSL technology, we also use an additional layer of payment card security called 3D Secure, established by MasterCard and Visa to help protect you from unauthorised payments and fraud.

MasterCard® SecureCode
MasterCard® SecureCode is a 3D Secure service that password-protects your MasterCard and Maestro payment card details, giving you added security when shopping online. The service allows you to create a password that is known only to yourself, to use every time you use your card online.

To use the MasterCard® SecureCode service, you must first register with the bank that issued your MasterCard and/or Maestro card. Once you have registered your own private password with your card issuer, you will be automatically prompted at checkout to provide this password each time you make a purchase with us. This means that even if someone knows your card number, they will unable to complete a purchase without your private password.

Please note that your MasterCard® SecureCode password is not your Winterson.co.uk account password. Winterson does not have access to your MasterCard® SecureCode password.

Verified by Visa
Verified by Visa is a 3D Secure service that protects your card against unauthorised use and fraud when shopping online. Verified by Visa provides a password-protected level of security when using your Visa card for online purchases at any one of more than 300,000 web sites across Europe.

You can sign up for Verified by Visa with your payment card provider directly to set up the service. When using Verified by Visa you’ll be asked to enter a password, known only to yourself, in addition to the normal payment card details asked for when making a purchase.

American Express SafeKey®
American Express SafeKey gives you an additional layer of security against theft and fraud when shopping online at participating SafeKey retailers. It helps prevent unauthorised online use of your American Express Card account before it happens.

It does this by confirming your identity with a SafeKey password before allowing the payment to be taken from your Card at online checkout. It is the online shopping equivalent of entering your PIN into a Chip and PIN machine when making a purchase in store. To shop online at participating SafeKey retailers, you will need to enrol your Card in SafeKey.
